Use G-Mail Templates!
As a teacher and now an administrator, I send the same emails over and over again! I found myself trying to go back through my Sent folder items or trying to type from memory what I had previously typed. Needless to say, I confused myself quite a bit.
I had a thought- what if I had some ready to go templates that I could just copy and paste? GENUIS! Right? I created a google doc with my most common needs and would copy and paste. Fast forward 2 years later and G-Mail came out with the Templates feature! Instead of having to search my Google Drive for my templates, they are stored in ONE spot for me! LOVE this feature.
Does this sound appealing to you? Check out the 60- second video above of how to do that!
*****If you don't see templates as an option in your G-Mail, here is how you easily fix that:
Step 1: Click the configure icon - it's the βοΈ looking icon in the top right corner.
Step 2: Select "see all settings"
Step 3: Open the "advanced tab"
Step 4: Scroll down to "templates" and select "enable"
Step 5: Click "save changes" at the bottom of the menu
Step 6: This will take you back to your inbox - now click compose! And voila, you should now see the templates option!
(If you still don't see it, reply back to this e-mail and I will help you get it figured out!)
Let's see if we can't get it a little more organized and function-able!
